Diplomatic Reception Hosted At Château de Berg

Grand Duke Henri hosted a reception for members of the diplomatic corp on Tuesday April 4 at Château de Berg in central Luxembourg.  The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean Asselborn, was at the head of the diplomats assigned to Luxembourg for the reception. The Grand Duke, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie welcomed their guests and mingled with them throughout the reception.

National Day Celebrated in Luxembourg

Following yesterday’s evening events to kick-off National Day, the main events were held today in Luxembourg to mark the occasion. First up was a ceremony at the Salle de concerts Grande-Duchesse Josephine-Charlotte in which awards and honours were presented to citizens of merit. The two-day celebrations of Luxembourg’s National Day began today, with visits to Troisvierges and Esch-sur-Alzette by the Grand Ducal and Hereditary Grand Ducal Couples. This morning members of the Grand Ducal Family of Luxembourg attended the annual mass of remembrance at the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Luxembourg honouring deceased members of the Grand Ducal Family. Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa were joined by Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie, Archduchess Marie-Astrid and Archduke Carl Christian for the mass, which was presided over by Archbishop Jean-Claude Hollerich.
