New Zealand, I wonder if that is where the nephew's wedding will be or just a family vacation. Nice to see they have all arrived safely, while Christian is "holding down the fort" and getting his exams done.

What nephew's wedding?

Some nephew of Mary is getting married?

Oh could be. Glad that they are all together (sadly minus Christian) now. Also, glad that Mary got to spend some time with her family. Hope they enjoy their time in New Zealand.

That was shared by another member of the forum, but we don't have any public confirmation of this :flowers:

Mary, Vincent, and Josephine took a tour on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge last week
"It was an honour to welcome Her Royal Highness The Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent to the Sydney Harbour Bridge during their time in Australia last week. We hope you enjoyed your special family time on the iconic 'Coathanger'!✨"

Great photo of the trio on the bridge. I know Mary'sdone this climb before. This is most likely the first time Josephine and Vincent have done it. Lovely memory for them!

Here is a photo I took this morning … the time on it is wrong, I need to fix that … as I came back from the Sunday market at one of the local villages.

This is the family property of Christian’s godfather.

The small white building on the left is a former stallion box and now an Airbnb, the white building on the right is the main house, which now has a large new structure built behind it.

Last Saturday Amber posted some photos a few hours after they arrived in Tasmania and I recognised it … (I’m about fifteen minutes away seeing family.)

Not a good photo … taken through the window as we wizzed along the road, hence the white reflection from the glass … but this is where they spent some time last week going on Amber’s photos.

A lovely area, many historic properties and villages and farmland around.

In the north of Tasmania.

I mean Christian got his Grandmother to celebrate Christmas with any chance the queen could be out of country and Christian get to be regent? during this time?

New Zealand? I thought they are at Tasmania, where Mary comes from?

Christian regent? let's hope Maggie's fine in the near future.

Christian is not Rigsforstander right now, nor has he been that yet.
That would be announced (and indeed written about in the press) on the DRF calendar. - After all we are supposed to know who is in charge at any time.

I took a quick glance at the requirements for the hike, and you have to be at least 8, so yes maybe the first time for Vincent and Josephine.

Frederik and Mary did the climb

I would imagine Christian and Isabella have too in the past

Forgot to mention, but love Frederik's scarf combo. So him.
And a pretty big smile after a long flight.

Great photo of Mary and Frederik! I would think at some point the older kids have done the climb. Yikes more power to them. I'm not sure I could do that climb. Lol.

I will say also respect to the company that waited to post the photo of Mary and the twins doing the bridge climb until a week after they were there. It was a private visit and they did not run to post it in real time. I like they respected their privacy. I would not be surprised if they even asked for permission to post one photo of the visit and acquiesced to the timeframe. No reason to violate someone privacy for attention or clickbait.

The set of sunset photos on Ms Petty’s public Instagram account groovygal46 … they are still up.

Posted last Saturday, the first one has some recognisable buildings in the background … recognisable to a local.

There is a lot of information and photos about the property on the internet, but I don’t want to be specific about it as these are not public figures.

There is a photo of Christian’s godfather in his farm clothes attached to one of the businesses.

There are a couple of businesses run out of the place, it is a working farm, and the company who built the new structure at the rear of the historic house has many photos on their Facebook too. Photos of their work.

None are photos of Mary etc., though there are hundreds of great reviews from people who have stayed at the Airbnb, so, many people have experienced the place.

There is a river running through it that you can swim in, horses to ride … a riding school is attached … and although on a road, it is up the hill a bit, and only locals and tourists would travel past. Not a major transport road … well, a lot of Tasmania could fit that last sentence.

This part of Tasmania was settled in the early days, so lots of hawthorn hedges, English trees along the roads and Georgian-age buildings that are still in use everywhere.

Since the family landed in Queensland in private aircraft, it smacks of a family destination wedding. If so, there will be plenty of time to return home to spend Christmas with the entire family. Either way I wonder how happy Christian was to be required to stay behind for school obligations? Unlike many others of his age, it's not like he can "party" in the absence of Mom and Dad.

It sounds like the set-up for a Hallmark movie: Student prince gets left behind by his family over Christmas, spends the holiday at his grandmother's country estate. Feeling bored and lonely, he goes jogging one afternoon where he meets a girl whose car broke down while she was delivering dinner to shut-ins. They have a romance and that includes the couple having Christmas dinner with his kindly grandmother the queen.

Thank you

Thanks for all the historical information. Looks like a lovely area. I hope the family was able to relax and enjoy their time in Australia ( and New Zealand.) They deserve it.

"Hat screwed on her head and hands in her pockets, she enjoys her outing with friends in complete relaxation, paying little attention to the paparazzi who immortalize her actions. Alongside her husband, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, Crown Princess Mary joined the minibus which took them to the Ayrburn restaurant. Located in Arrowtown, New Zealand, the establishment calls itself "the country's hottest food and wine destination." The ideal place to enjoy their reunion after more than a week apart."

Thank you for the photos polyesco.

Mary and Frederik’s friends Chris Meehan and Michaela Ward are the developers behind this.

Perhaps the Danish Royals flew in for the Grand Opening last weekend.

Thanks for the pics. This visit has been extremely low-key. Nothing on our newscasts in Western Australia which is a good thing. No prying eyes to watch Pr Frederik and Princess Mary's every move.

Video and new photos.

Is Isabella chewing gum?

Poor Vincent “suffering” the attentions of Josephine.

Leaving Queenstown and heading to Brisbane …

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/...mour-Mexican-socialite-Genoveva-Casanova.html

And the historic house with it’s modern extension … see post number 9 … has just launched as another Airbnb option on the property.

Outdoor hot tub and sauna available.

A few more details in Ms Petty’s public Instagram photos are also present in these official photos.

This is the part of the property where Mary and co would have been.

A poll has been published showing the attitude of the Danes in regards to the Casanova debacle.
https://www.bt.dk/royale/ny-maaling...agen-paavirket-danskernes-syn-paa-kronprinsen

Open the grey box to see the questions and answers.
How much do you agree that the DRF should publicly explain what Frederik was doing in Madrid, where he met Casanova.
Totally disagree - 40%.
Partly disagree - 9%.
Indifferent - 19%.
Partly agree - 8%.
Totally agree - 15 %. (I belong in that category.)
Don't know - 9%.

How has the Casanova incident affected your view on Frederik?
It has become much more negative - 3%.
It has become more negative - 9%.
No difference - 73%. (I belong in that category.)
It has become more positive - 4%.
It has become much more positive - 2%.
Don't know - 11%.

A recent poll by Megafon was a pleasant reading for Frederik as well.
https://nyheder.tv2.dk/2023-12-12-n...r-isaer-et-medlem-maa-drage-et-lettelsens-suk
The question is: Who do you think is the best representative for the DRF?

TV also made a recent poll asking whether you think Frederik will be a good monarch.
Here the answers were:
Very good or good - 77%.
Nor good nor bad - 12%.
Bad or very bad - 7%
Don't know - 4%.

Here is the property Mary and Amber … and I assume the twins … travelled to when they were photographed at Sydney Airport leaving for Tasmania.

https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/967...b2ff-192934180950&modal=PHOTO_TOUR_SCROLLABLE

This is the “photo tour” page from the Airbnb listing. Scroll down the page for larger photos, and additional photos.

When I first put up a photo of the property, I thought this was probably a private home, this part of the farm.

There has been an Airbnb building on the property for nine years, but that only slept four, in two beds.

The much, much larger new Airbnb, comprising the original 1840s house and a new structure behind it, was put online a few days before Christmas.

It sleeps twelve and has many amenities, along with the usual farm-stay experience.

The Airbnb listing has had a few changes made to the photos since it was put up, but the current photos seem a good selection.

Christian’s godfather is the “host” of this new listing.

His wife has been the host of the original building, which is still available to rent.

I saw a lot of TRFs posters/visitors copied my original photo … over seventy already … and that is not a good quality photo. My original isn’t too bad, but it has lost clarity being put on the internet.

So, realising this is actually not a private home, and that some people who follow Mary would like to know where she “disappeared” to, I’ll share these links.

Below is the Airbnb listing, the front page.

https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/967...earch_id=76d788af-bd33-42e8-ae52-3214659843ad

It is a working farm with machinery … chaff mill, horses … there is a riding school, cattle, a river, and 300 acres to explore.

Plus, it is close to many other historic properties and villages.

National Trust estate “Clarendon”, National Trust house “Franklin House”, National Trust estate … in private hands for several years, but now open to the public again, “Entally House”, privately owned, but open to the public “Woolmers Estate” … home of the National Rose Garden, associated, privately owned, but open to the public “Brickendon”, and historic, (Georgian) villages of Evandale, Longford, Perth, Hadspen, Carrick, Campbelltown and Ross. The last two with historic bridges.

All within easy driving distance.

Plus the Tamar valley vineyards and speciality cheese, chocolate, raspberry, copper-work, wool and craftwork etc businesses.

Thanks Muhler, I belong into the same category as you. The topic will linger in the background and not go away.
Even at Christmas reporters asked the question at church, did not get an answer of course.

I'd say that is very good news!. Frederik has done the work for years and years now.

77% positive, 12% neutral. Anyone would take that.
Danes know their Crown Prince. :flowers:

Very good news! I mean there are many royals, heck any public figure, that would give their right arm for those numbers.

Speaking of polls, here's another one done the week of December 6th

https://www.dr.dk/nyheder/indland/ny-maaling-viser-hoej-opbakning-til-kronprinsparret

"The vast majority of Danes are happy with Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary.

This is shown by a new study Epinion has carried out for Danmarks Radio.

Respectively, 84 and 85 percent respond that they have a positive opinion of the crown prince and crown princess.

Thus, the crown prince couple's popularity is on par with Queen Margrethe's.

Only four percent answer that they have a negative opinion of Crown Princess Mary, while this applies to six percent when the question is about Crown Prince Frederik."

BB has also posted about the jew poll
