King Felipe, Queen Letizia and the Princess of Asturias at the Opening of the Cortes

Spain’s King Felipe VI, his wife Queen Letizia and their daughter the Princess of Asturias attended the opening of the new legislative session of the Spanish Parliament – or Cortes- yesterday. The event is traditionally held at the Palacio de las Cortes. Due to her studies at the Atlantic College in Wales the couple’s youngest daughter Princess Sofía was absent.

Danish Royals Attend Opening of Parliament

Queen Margrethe II, Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary and Princess Benedikte of Denmark attended the opening of the 2023-2024 parliamentary year in Copenhagen. The royals watched the government speech from the balcony of the Folketing. the Queen was last to arrive and was greeted on the stairs of the parliament building by her son, daughter-in-law and sister.
