Successful Heart Surgery For Moroccan King

The King of Morocco has undergone successful heart surgery in Paris, the Moroccan Royal Court announced on Tuesday. The operation, who was performed by a team of six doctors at the Ambroise Pare Clinic, was a radio frequency ablation, which was performed on King Mohammed VI after he was found to have an atrial flutter, which causes the heart to beat less efficiently (but is not life-threatening). King Mohammed VI of Morocco has undergone successful pterygium surgery at the Quinze-Vingt Ophthalmology Hospital Center in Paris. A statement co-signed by Professor Jean Philippe Norman, head of the department at the said hospital, and Professor Abdelaziz Maaouni, the King’s personal physician, said that the King is doing well after the surgery. Prince Albert Visits Site of the Second Battle of the Aisne

On Tuesday April 18, the Sovereign Prince of Monaco visit part of the site of the Second Battle of the Aisne, one of the many battles of the First World War. It was fought along France’s Chemin des Dames in April-May 1917. Prince Albert, whose great-grandfather Louis II of Monaco fought in the battle, visited the battle’s memorial, where he saw different artefacts connected to the conflict.
