Willem-Alexander and Máxima Attend Dedication of MH17 Memorial in Vijfhuizen

The King and Queen of The Netherlands were present on Monday for the dedication ceremony of a memorial forest in memory of the 298 people killed in the MH17 disaster. July 17 was the third anniversary of the disaster. The memorial consists of a ‘forest’ of 298 trees, one for each of the victims, planted in the formation of a ribbon. Putin Unveils Monument to Assassinated Grand Duke

Prince Albert Visits Site of the Second Battle of the Aisne

On Tuesday April 18, the Sovereign Prince of Monaco visit part of the site of the Second Battle of the Aisne, one of the many battles of the First World War. It was fought along France’s Chemin des Dames in April-May 1917. Prince Albert, whose great-grandfather Louis II of Monaco fought in the battle, visited the battle’s memorial, where he saw different artefacts connected to the conflict.

King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia Attend National Candlelight Service
