Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad Al-Jaber, Emir of Kuwait since 2020, died at the age of 86 on December 16, 2023. The small state in the Persian Gulf announced the death of its head of state this Saturday, after several days of speculation regarding the health of the sovereign. February 9, 2002: Members of the public read the announcement hanging on the gates of Buckingham Palace that Princess Margaret, sister of Queen Elizabeth II, had died earlier that morning at the age of 71. The Princess had suffered a stroke and died at 6:30am, local time, at King Edward VII Hospital in London.
