Carl, Duke of Wurttemberg and head of the royal house of Württemberg has died at the age of 85 in Ravensberg, not far away from his home Schloss Althausen. Duchess Margarethe of Württemberg, a first cousin of the former King Simeon of Bulgaria, passed away on June 10. The Duchess was the eldest daughter of Duke Albrecht Eugen of Württemberg and Princess Nadezhda of Bulgaria, herself the daughter of Ferdinand I of Bulgaria. Margarethe was born in November 1928.
