Spanish King and Queen Attend Mass For Earthquake Victims

Yesterday the King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain Felipe VI of Spain and Queen Letizia of Spain attended a tribute Mass for the victims of the earthquake in Ecuador.   The earthquake happened on April 16th and had the epicenter close to the towns of Muisne and Pedernales, 170 kilometers away from the Ecuador’s capital Quito. Two weeks ago Portuguese and Brazilian royals gathered in Lisbon to remember Queen Maria I of Portugal, Brazil and The Algarves. On March 20th it was 200 years ago that the monarch died. King Albert and Queen Paola Celebrate Easter in The Vatican

Belgium’s King Albert II and Queen Paola celebrated the Easter holiday in the Vatican, attending the annual Easter Sunday mass at St Peter’s Square. The couple were greeted by Pope Francis at the end of the mass as he travelled round the Square in the ‘popemobile’ at the conclusion of the mass. The former King was seen taking photographs of the mass with his Nikon during the event.

Few Belgian Royals Show Up to Remember their Deceased Relatives

Today was the annual mass to remember the deceased members of the Belgian Royal Family in the Notre Dame de Laeken. In previous years the mass was usually attended by most adult members of the Belgian Royal family. Today only the King, Queen, Princess Esmeralda and Princess Léa attended. Luxembourg’s Grand Ducal Family Attend Remembrance Mass

This morning members of the Grand Ducal Family of Luxembourg attended the annual mass of remembrance at the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Luxembourg honouring deceased members of the Grand Ducal Family. Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa were joined by Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie, Archduchess Marie-Astrid and Archduke Carl Christian for the mass, which was presided over by Archbishop Jean-Claude Hollerich.
