Danish Royals Celebrate 1915 Constitution Anniversary

Following on from last night’s concert, the Danish Royal Family was out in force to again mark the 100th anniversary of the 1915 Constitution. The family attended a reception at Christiansborg Palace, hosted by the Danish Parliament. Members of the Danish Royal Family were tonight present at a concert hosted by Danmarks Radio to celebrate the centenary of the 1915 Constitution. Queen Margrethe Holds Audience with Angela Merkel

Denmark’s Queen Margrethe II welcomed German Chancellor Angela Merkel to Copenhagen this morning, during the Chancellor’s day visit to the country. Chancellor Merkel had an audience with the Queen at Christian VII’s Palace in the Amalienborg complex. Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt was also present, before accompanying the Chancellor to meetings.

Dutch State Visit to Denmark, Day One

The King and Queen of the Netherlands have begun their state visit to Denmark, arriving in Copenhagen this morning. Denmark’s Crown Prince Attends Shooting Vigil

The Danish Royal Family yesterday attended the annual opening of Parliament at Christiansborg Palace. Queen Margrethe II, wearing a purple ensemble, led the family into the Parliament after arriving last just before noon. The Danish Royal Family today attended the opening of the 2011 Session of the Danish Parliament, at Christiansborg Palace.
