Breakfast With Prince Georg Friedrich

Grand Duchess Visits Art Exhibition

Grand Duchess Mari­a Teresa of Luxembourg visited the exhibition “Lebensbilder” at the Rencontre Abbaye de Neumünste Cultural Centre with Luxembourgish artist Madeleine Weiss-Bauler. Princess Laurentien at Society to Benefit Education 225th Anniversary

Yesterday, Princess Laurentien travelled to Rotterdam to attend the Society to Benefit General Education’s 225th anniversary celebration. The event took place at Rotterdam’s National Museum, where the Princess was presented with the first copy of the Society’s jubilee book. Laurentien toured the museum and viewed the exhibition celebrating the Society’s 225 years. The exhibition features original 19th century prints showing the Society’s work. Mary’s Saturday of Fun

Saturday April 4th was a fun-filled day for Crown Princess Mary, as she undertook two engagements in different cities. Mary’s first engagement was the acceptance of a donation for the Christmas Seal Foundation (Julemærkefonden). As patron of the foundation, Mary accepted the 250,000DKK collected in 2008 to go towards the Christmas Seal Homes for children, the four in Denmark currently deal with obesity. Dubai ruler visits Art Dubai & attends horse show

The Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, visited this evening Art Dubai 2009. Sheikh Mohammed toured the different galleries that featured almost 2000 artworks by over 450 artists from the UAE and other countries. Beatrix opens Keukenhof Flower Exhibition

Queen Beatrix yesterday opened the 60th edition of the International Flower Exhibition Keukenhof in Lisse. The Queen officially opened the event by baptising the new Spring Garden tulip. Today queen Paola of the Belgians and her daughter-in-law, princess Claire, visited the exhibition ‘From van Dijck to Bellotto’ at the Palace of Fine Arts (Bozar) in Brussels.
