The President of the Republic of Finland, Mr Sauli Niinistö, and his wife Mrs Jenni Haukio made a state visit to Norway from October 10th-12th, 2012. They were welcomed at Oslo’s Gardermoen Airport by Crown Prince Haakon. Royal Family at Exhibition “Royal Journeys 1905-2005”

King Harald and Queen Sonja attended the opening of the exhibition “Royal Journeys 1905-2005” at the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in Oslo on February 15th, 2012. Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Märtha Louise and Princess Astrid were also in attendance. Crown Prince Couple attends NHO Conference

On January 5th, 2012 the annual NHO (Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise) Conference took place at the Opera and Ballet House in Oslo. Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended the opening and the first part of the conference. Royal Family Shows Support for Victims of Attacks in Norway

The Norwegian people grieve after the death of at least 92 people were killed in the double attack on Friday, July 22nd. At least seven people were killed in a bomb attack on the government quarter in Oslo; 85 people were shot dead as the same man ran amok on the nearby island of Utoeya. State Visit from Switzerland

The Swiss Confederation paid a State Visit to Norway. Her Excellency Ms. Doris Leuthard and Dr. Roland Hausin were welcomed by His Majesty King Harald V on October 14th. The Confederation was formally welcomed in the Palace Square and were introduced to representatives of official institutions in Norway. Norwegian State Visit from Canada

On Tuesday their Majesties King Harald V and Queen Sonja welcomed Michaëlle Jean, the Governor General of Canada, and her husband Jean-Daniel Lafond, to Norway.
