Norwegian State Visit from Canada

On Tuesday their Majesties King Harald V and Queen Sonja welcomed Michaëlle Jean, the Governor General of Canada, and her husband Jean-Daniel Lafond, to Norway. The Crown Princely couple also took part in the official reception on the Palace Square.

Michaëlle Jean paid a visit to the Storting where she met the Vice President of the Storting and in the afternoon she met with Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg. In the evening the Royal Couple hosted a lunch for the Governor General and her party at the Royal Palace.

The next day there was a visit to the Intercultural Museum. In the evening the General Governor and her husband Jean-Daniel Lafond attended a dinner at Dansens Hus in Oslo .
