Countess Alexandra Announces She Will Give Up Appanage

It has been confirmed today that Countess Alexandra has relinquished her patronage of UNICEF Denmark, which she has held for the past fifteen years. Countess of Frederiksborg’s Father Passes Away

Richard Manley, the 85-year-old father of HE the Countess of Frederiksborg, passed away earlier this week in a Vienna hospital. A statement released by the Countess stated that she, her two sisters and her mother Christa were by Mr Manley’s bedside when he passed, following a short illness. Salary Increase for the Danish Royal Family

According to politiken.dk, the Danish Royal Family will next year receive an increase in their allowances totalling 1.9 million kroner. The Queen’s husband Prince Henrik will receive a total budget of 7.1 million kroner, which is a rise of 200,000 kroner from last year, whilst Prince Joachim and Princess Marie will receive an increase of 100,000 kroner, for a total of 3.1 million.
