Prince Henrik: Dog Friend of the Year

Prince Henrik was today awarded the title ‘Dog Friend of the Year’ at the dog exhibition ‘Show of Winners’ held in Hillerød. The Norwegian Royal Court has released this week a photo gallery of the Crown Princely Family’s summer photo shoot. The images were taken at the family’s summer home in Dvergsøya last week by Veronica Melå. On May 17th, Norway celebrates its National Day. As every year, the Norwegian Royal Family is involved in the celebration. Three months ago, Prince Laurent of Belgium had the dead body of his favourite dog frozen. Royal Dachshund Bites Royal Bodyguard

Evita, the 11-year-old dauchshund of Prince Henrik, has biten a royal bodyguard, leaving the man in hospital needing stitches and a tetanus shot. The incident occured on Saturday May 30th, when the guard was walking Evita around the gardens of the Danish royal summer residence, Fredensborg Palace. is reporting that the Queen has decided to stop breeding corgis. Recently, the Queen lost two corgis to cancer, and allegedly she is so devastated by the loss that she will not be replacing her dogs.
