During his visit to Yahveh College, a Orthodox Jewish school in Borehamwood, today the Prince of Wales displayed a skill that many would not have thought he possessed: he is quite adept at the art balloon animal making.

He was quick to accept a blue balloon as he sat down with year eight pupils working on crafting creatures led by Rabbi Avrohom Zeidman, and fashioned it into a crown that perfectly fit his head. The balloon creatures made by the students are being donated to children with special needs via the charity GIFT.

Prince Charles had earlier met students and teachers who take part in social action programmes through the charity Jewish Lads’ and Girls’ Brigade (JLGB). He told students that they “will make a great contribution to the future of this country” due to the “education and encouragement that you’ve had here”, at the school which “is going to produce some very special people”.
