New Photos As Denmark’s Prince Felix Turns Fifteen

Prince Felix of Denmark, the younger son of Prince Joachim and his first wife the Countess of Frederiksborg, today celebrates his fifteenth birthday. To mark the day, the Danish Royal Court has released a series of photographs of the birthday boy and his elder brother, Prince Nikolai. The three photos were taken by favourite court photographer Steen Brogaard. The Prince is eight in line to the Danish throne.

Prince Henrik Undergoes Groin, Pelvis Surgery

The Danish Royal Court announced on Monday that Prince Henrik has undergone surgery on his groin and pelvis, where balloon stents were placed in pulmonary arteries in the area which were blocked. The operation took place at Skejby Hospital in Aarhus. Prince Henrik is expected to be released on Wednesday. The Court had previously announced Thursday that he had been hospitalised for treatment on a leg infection.

Prince Henrik Hospitalised With Leg Infection

The Danish Royal Court confirmed on Thursday that Prince Henrik was admitted to the Aarhus University Hospital this week to receive treatment for a leg infection. He is expected to be released from the hospital by Saturday, but will not be taking part in any scheduled engagements in the next few weeks. Swedish Royals Attend Funeral of Late Mistress of the Robes

The funeral service of Countess Alice Trolle-Wachtmeister took place on Wednesday afternoon at the Trolle Ljungby Church in Skåne. The late Countess died on June 26 at the age of 91. Frederik and Mary Hit The Saddles During Vacation In Gråsten

A New Portrait For Denmark’s Princess Marie

On Wednesday, Princess Marie of Denmark unveiled a new portrait of herself painted by artist Mikael Melbye. Mr Melbye, who was knighted by Queen Margrethe in 1996 and then given a peerage in 2006, has painted portraits of several other members of the Royal Family, including the Queen, Prince Henrik, Prince Christian and Prince Joachim.

The Sporty Prince: Frederik Completes Øresund Triathlon

Denmark’s Crown Prince Frederik competed in the 2017 Deloitte Øresund Triathlon on Sunday, finishing the half Ironman in a time of 5:16:59. His time placed him 126th out of the 378 racers who started the triathlon, which consisted of 1900m of swimming, 90km of cycling, and 21.1km of running. I dag gennemførte H.K.H. Foundation of Queen Margrethe & Prince Henrik Donates To Greenland Tsunami Victims

The foundation of Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik of Denmark has donated 200,000DKK (26,800€ / $30,000USD) to the relief effort currently going on in Greenland following a tsunami that hit the northwest of the country last weekend. The money has been donated to the Danish Red Cross, who will redistribute the funds to their sister organisation in Greenland, to be used to assist the local communities affected by the disaster. … Continue reading

Summers in Marselisborg: Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik Arrive in Aarhus

Denmark’s Queen and her husband arrived into Aarhus Harbour on Friday aboard the royal yacht Dannebrog to begin their summer residence at nearby Marselisborg Palace. Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik were welcomed by music from the Home Guard’s Music Corps Aarhus, as well as officials from the Aarhus municipality. The couple will spend the next three weeks at Marselisborg, before moving to Graasten Palace for a family summer break there.

Countess Alexandra Announces She Will Give Up Appanage

Prince Frederik Attends Team Danmark Donation Hand-Over

Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark was present on Monday at the Bagsværd Rostadion as Team Danmark received a donation of 50million DKK from the Salling Foundation to assist in their preparations for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Princess Laurentien Visits Denmark For Meeting With Marie

On Monday, Princess Laurentien of The Netherlands made the trip north to Denmark where she had a meeting with Princess Marie. The two women discussed literacy and ways to improve the reading skills of children. Also present for the meeting was Danish Minister for Education, Merete Riisager. Princess Marie is patron of the Danish UNESCO National Commission, while Princess Laurentien is the UNESCO Special Envoy on Literacy for Development.

Margrethe and Henrik Celebrate Golden Wedding Aboard The Dannebrog

The Queen and Prince Consort of Denmark have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary privately abroad the Danish royal yacht Dannebrog today. A few photographs of the couple were released on Saturday, as they relaxed on the ship and presented the Dannebrog crew with commemorative medals minted to mark the anniversary. All members of the royal family and the royal court have also received the medal.
