King Juan Carlos received Family visit

Since his admission in the Clinic Hospital of Barcelona last Saturday for a lung surgery, King Juan Carlos is receiving numbers of family visits and also institutional visits.

The Prince of Asturias arrived yesterday from San Jose (Costa Rica), where he attended the Presidential Inauguration of Laura Chinchilla, and joined Princess Letizia to visit his father. At the end of the visit they had an informal meeting with the press where he said the king told him “as you can see I’m in once piece and in good shape”. As the Queen said, King Juan Carlos didn’t lost his sense of humour after such an important surgery “He never lost his humour” she said. Felipe and Letizia also told journalists king Juan Carlos is going well little by little.

He is surrounded all time by his wife, Queen Sofia, who only leaves the hospital for lunch and to sleep. Infanta Elena also visited his father yesterday.

Apart from his family King Juan Carlos also received visits of the Spanish Prime Minister, José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, the President of Cataluna government, José Montilla and the Mayor of Barcelona.

Today Infanta Cristina and Inaki Urdangarin visited the King, “I was impatient to see him”, she said.

The last medical report (provided by doctors yesterday night) says the patient’s process has been highly satisfactory. He got out of bed for a while and walked for a few minutes earlier in the day.
