Tiaras and Jewels guessing for upcoming events: 2024

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I would love to see the Grand Duchess with her most important tiara, the Empire tiara. Combined with the two rivieres, which IMO are the best rivieres in use by any royal family at the moment. And for Mathilde there is only one option to compete with that; the Nine Provinces.

Apart from the Aosta tiara I hope we will see Pss Astrid with the emeralds from that family, though I am not sure they are with her husband and not with one of his siblings.
If her husband did inherit it, it would be nice if Pss Astrid could have it converted into a tiara. She only needs to remove the prongs which can be used as earrings and brooch and put the rest on a frame. It would make an emerald tiara worthy of a Queen.

I don´t think Elisabeth will attend as she will probably be in the UK.

Grand Duke Henri will celebrate his 70th birthday and his Silver Jubilee in 2025. It would be exciting if either of those events involved tiaras.

With the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh increasingly taking on a number of significant engagements, I’m wondering if Sophie will have more opportunities to access items from the royal vault , particularly in the way of a tiara . If this is the case- which I hope it is- what tiara do you think she might borrow?

My sense is that, in time, Sophie will probably may be lent another tiara. But a lot of that depends on how many white tie events are held. I can't see any state visits till the King is better health, and hope that is not too far away.

My guesses for the SV from Denmark to Sweden in June:

Queen Silvia: Bragnaza tiara
Mary Mary: Pearl Poire tiara
Crown Princess Victoria: Baden Fringe tiara
Princess Sofia: Wedding tiara
Princess Christina: Aquamarine Kokoshnik tiara

A part of me thinks Mary might hold off wearing the crown jewels until after QMargrethe passes. I hope I'm wrong because I think those emeralds would look divine on her, but it's a nagging little thought I have.

I don't think Mary will wait to wear the Crown jewels or any jewels she now has access to and imo I honestly don't think QMII would expect her to wait nor ask her to.

I agree, I do not think Mary will wait long to wear the crown jewels. She is the Queen Consort now, and those jewels are hers to wear now. No reason to wait for Margarethe to pass.

Hopefully we will see the Duchess wearing some long forgotten Windsor gems!

The emerald parure was taken out of Rosenborg a while ago, and it is probably an upcoming gala portrait.

But for events outside Denmark I suspect we will see the pearl poire married parure. First in Sweden and then in Norway. Maybe the diamond floral "aigrette", which is not an aigrette.

I agree, if the emeralds have been removed from Rosenberg, that is probably for a formal portrait.

The married Pearl Parure will probably get used on the forthcoming state visits. If we are lucky, one of the statet visits, the Floral Aigrette and the collet collier will get used.

To the new gala portrait I could guess Mary wearing the Pearl Poiré, as Daisy always did on her gala portraits.

Maybe the emeralds were taken to the jeweler for cleaning and adjusting the padding to Mary's hair color. But I hope you are right about an upcoming gala portrait. By the way, Margrethe also used the emeralds for gala portraits.

The Danish royal court will publish the new gala portraits very soon today, and it is with the emerald parure sources tells.

Margrethe has also worn the floral aigrette for official pics.

There will be SV from Japan to the U.K in June. I hope Camilla debuts Alexandra’s Kokoshnik tiara or the Grand Duchess Vladimir tiara.

I am hoping Queen Camilla wears the Grand Duchess Vladimir tiara with pearls for the forthcoming state visit from Japan. The Japanese are very fond of pearls, and this would be a good way of honouring them.

The Queen Victoria pearl and diamond necklace could be a good accompanist to the tiara.

My guess for the SV from Japan ist that Queen Camilla will wear an all diamond tiara as the Japanese royals don't use jewels with colored stones. Hope for one she hasn't used before like Queen Alexandra's kokoshnik. For the Empress i hope she will debut the Chrysanthemum tiaras.

My guesses:
Camilla: Queen Alexandra's Kokoshnik, Vladimir Tiara or Queen Mary's Fringe Tiara
Kate (if attends, even battling cancer and debuting her CH insignia): Princess Margaret's Sapphire Bandeau or Strathmore Rose
Anne: her Festoon Tiara, Aquamarine Pineflower or her Meander Bandeau (yes, that worn by Zara on her wedding day!)
Sophie: her Aquamarine Necklace Tiara or her wedding Tiara
Birgitte (debuting her Garter sash): Gloucester Honeysuckle Tiara, Princess Alice Emerald Bandeau or Cartier Indian Tiara

I am going for the Ruby and diamond oriental circlet of Queen Victoria for Queen Camilla. No surprises for the others.

I doubt she will be wearing the sapphire bandeau, she will probably wear the lovers knot, or the Cartier tiara or the strathmore rose

UK-Japan state visit: the ladies (at least Camilla and Kate, plus Anne who already has it) probably will wear the sash of Order of the Precious Crown which is yellow with red stripes? I think we could cross out any coloured stones tiara except rubies for them (which I don't think there are other ruby tiaras besides those two reserved for queen).
  • Camilla: I hope it'd be oriental circlet too. I don't know would she use it but I wish to see it being paired with the Greville ruby necklace, they would look great together. But somehow I also think she'll opt for diamond tiara, maybe QA's kokoshnik or GGBI with the Greville necklace (three rows would be enough!), or the Burmese ruby again but QV's ruby necklace with the pendant this time
  • Kate: I don't think she'll debut another tiara at this moment. I wish it'll be the Strathmore Rose with the Greville ruby necklace (let's not pair it with a pearl tiara again please) or the the Lotus with QA's pearl necklace, but I think it's gonna be her typical QMLK again with the Japanese choker (let's hope at least she picks a better neckline for this necklace!)
  • Anne: the meander tiara
  • Sophie: her modified wedding tiara but with the King Faisal necklace this time, if she doesn't receive the Japanese order I'd love to see her using the sapphire bandeau
  • Birgitte: my favourite the Iveagh, or the honeysuckle with pink topaz?
  • Masako: I wish it'd be my another favourite the Chrysanthemum but I guess it'd be the Meiji again (will they have the Guildhall banquet? if so she can bring both;))

Sweden-Denmark:
  • Silvia: I wish it'd be Braganza with the pink topaz, just like what she wore for the last visit by Margrethe, but I guess more likely it'd be the Leuchtenberg sapphire
  • Victoria: I wish it will be the Connaught or the aquamarine
  • Sofia: her wedding tiara with the turquoise or pearl (or both  )
  • Christina: the aquamarine if it's not used by Victoria
  • Mary: probably pearl poiré but I actually hope to see something from the ruby parure which originally from Sweden. Not very possible but I would love to see her in full ruby parure , or maybe the floral aigrette in proper tiara setting with some other pieces from the ruby parure

Norway-Moldova:
  • Sonja: Maud's pearl in larger setting
  • Mette-Marit: the amethyst
  • Astrid: the ruby aigrette

Norway-Denmark:
  • Sonja: realistically it'd be her grandest Leuchtenberg emerald, but I'd love to see the Josephine's diamond which has been used by another Danish queen consort
  • Mette-Marit: I can already see her stick to her wedding tiara again but I really want to see something other than that, not necessarily Maud's diamond (it'd be great though!) and I'd be satisfied to see Maud's pearl in smaller setting
  • Astrid: the turquoise circlet which she always wore for Danish visit
  • Mary: probably pearl poiré (again), even if she has already worn it in Sweden (which Margrethe did wear the some set of jewels AND gowns in both countries in 1973). If she wears same tiara in Sweden and Norway I hope she'd pair it with different necklace, maybe her aquamarine choker for Sweden and her wedding tiara in necklace form for Norway.

I would love to see Queen Camilla use the Oriental Circlet, but I don't know if she will debut it for a summer banquet.

We don't quite know if Queen Camilla will receive a Japanese order, as the UK tends not to give out orders to consorts, and by reciprocal arrangement, UK consorts ought to not receive any.

I am not sure the Princess of Wales will have recovered enough from her cancer treatment to attend the banquet, lets see.

(Just avoiding to be OT I post the discussion re. the order to the state visit thread.)

Re. Kate, honestly not having high hopes for her to attend but it's always fun to imagine

Norway - Denmark:

Would be great to see Queen Sonja in the Queen Josephine tiara. I think the tiara is lovely and it just doesn't get used enough.

Sweden - Denmark

Silvia: Would be great to see the pink topaz / tourmaline demi-parure used. If Silvia does not feel up to wearing the Braganza (but she did wear it recently when the Dutch visited), she could wear it with the Queen Sophia Nine Prong tiara.

Victoria: Would love to see her use the Connaught tiara with the Processional necklace, it would match well with the blue Danish sash.

I wish one of the Swedes would wear the Cameo tiara. It’s beautiful but not worn much.
I don’t want to wait until Estelle gets married to see it (just believe it’ll be her wedding tiara like her mum and Grandmum)
