Queen hosts NATO summit
Queen Elizabeth II hosted NATO leaders today at Buckingham Palace on December 3.
As well as the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, the Princess Royal, the Duchess of Cambridge, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Alexandra were also present at the summit.
President Trump and his wife Melania arrived to the sound of the choir singing Silent Night. They were joined by other world leaders of France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, North Macedonia, Denmark, Turkey, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Montenegro, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Greece, Croatia, Latvia and Estonia.
This year’s NATO summit focused on climate change, though it also marks seventy years since the first summit started in 1949 after the Second World War as a means of military defence against the then Soviet Russia.
