Introducing The Duke and Duchess of Sussex: Harry and Meghan Marry in Windsor

On 19 May, Prince Harry married his fiancee Meghan Markle at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor.

The wedding was attended by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, as well as other members of the royal family. Prince Seesio of Lesotho was also in attendance, as were many famous faces, from Oprah Winfrey to David Beckham.

Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle Sr, was not in attendance due to a reported heart attack, resulting in Meghan walking down the aisle alone until she was escorted by the Prince of Wales, her future father-in-law, who also accompanied Doria Ragland, Meghan’s mother, for much of the occasion.

The bridal party consisted of Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, Florence van Cutsem (the cousin of Grace van Cutsem, one of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s bridesmaids in 2011), Zalie Warren (Prince Harry’s goddaughter), Rylan and Remi Litt (Meghan’s goddaughters), Ivy Mulroney (daughter of Meghan’s close friend, stylist Jessica Mulroney), Brian and John Mulroney (brothers of Ivy), Prince George of Cambridge and Jasper Dyer (Prince Harry’s godson).

Meghan’s dress was designed by Clare Waight Keller for the House of Givenchy, as were the bridesmaid’s dresses. The page boy outfits were miniature versions of the Blues and Royals uniform worn by Prince Harry.

The wedding was followed by a reception at Frogmore House, where the couple’s engagement photos were taken. The couple will post-pone their honeymoon to carry out royal engagements.
