The National Reading Days is an initiative of the Reading Foundation and organized by the Foundation for Collective Promotion of the Dutch Book (CPNB). The campaign aims to encourage the reading of children who don’t read yet.

The Reading & Writing Foundation is an initiative of Princess Laurentien and it was launched on May 27, 2004. Since January 2014, the Princess is Honorary Chairman of the Foundation. The Foundation’s goal is to prevent and reduce illiteracy in the Netherlands and internationally.
