Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden attended the naming ceremony for a children’s hospital. The children’s hospital at Linköping University Hospital will be named as H.K.H Kronprinsessan Victorias barn- och ungdomssjukhus (H.R.H Crown Princess Victoria’s Children’s and Youth Hospital).

The princess was dressed in a blue suit and a teddy nbear printed blouse by Camilla Thulin. She revealed the new name with Vidar (10) and Siri (7), two patients of the hospital.

Ditte Pehrsson Lindell, Director of Care and Deputy Director and Deputy Regional Director commented in a press release:

It is a great honor for the University Hospital to get to use  Crown Princess Victoria’s name. The child and youth hospital has been working for many years to create a strong and comprehensive highly specialized healthcare for children and youth throughout the southeastern healthcare region. The name strengthens child care and its important role within the University Hospital. We are looking forward to the new name and look forward to showcase the activities of the Crown Princess.
