Frederik & Mary’s 5th Anniversary Commemorated with New Portraits

To mark the Crown Prince Couple of Denmark’s fifth wedding anniversary, which is today, new portraits were released by the Danish Royal Court. The series; which contains individual, couple and family shots; was uploaded to the website over the weekend.

The images were taken in two photosessions in December 2008 and March 2009, by royal photographer Steen Evald. Evald was also the official photographer for the couple’s wedding in 2004, and for the first official portraits of Prince Christian in 2005.

Crown Prince Frederik married Mary Elizabeth Donaldson in a ceremony at the Copenhagen Cathedral on May 14th, 2004. Royalty from around Europe travelled to Denmark for the wedding, which was followed by a reception at Fredensborg Palace.
