Evening Concert Ends National Day Celebrations in Sweden

Sweden’s National Day has ended with the traditional concert at Skansen, performed by several local music acts as well the Skansen Folk Dance group.

The Royal Family – including Princess Estelle – made their way to the arena by horse-drawn carriage. The women were all wearing the blue and yellow Swedish national costume.

Earlier in the day, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel were present at the citizenship ceremony at Nacka City Hall to greet the country’s newest citizens, where Victoria gave a speech that said to the newest Swedes, “Be proud of your origins, it is part of you and therefore also part of Sweden.”

Meanwhile King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended celebrations at Sofiero Palace, which this year marks its 150th anniversary.

Really nice to see the entire family out for the celebration of Sweden. And I must say, Prince Carl and his wife look so very happy, finally he has what his sisters have, a family of his own and something to look forward to in the future. Princess Sofia is a really cute girl with such beautiful blue eyes.
