Few Belgian Royals Show Up to Remember their Deceased Relatives
Today was the annual mass to remember the deceased members of the Belgian Royal Family in the Notre Dame de Laeken. In previous years the mass was usually attended by most adult members of the Belgian Royal family. Today only the King, Queen, Princess Esmeralda and Princess Léa attended. Princess Léa’s son Renaud Bichara, Princess Margaretha of Luxembourg and her husband Prince Nikolaus of Liechtenstein were also present. The palace did not explain the absence of King Albert II, Queen Paola, Princess Astrid, Prince Lorenz, Prince Laurent and Princess Claire.
