Princess Astrid and Her Two Oldest Children in New York

Princess Astrid, as special representative of the Roll Back Malaria Partnership, was in New York from September 18 until September 21. She attended several events together with her oldest children who live in New York. Prince Amedeo has been working for two years for Deloitte and Princess Maria Laura is currently doing a four-month internship at the Permanent Mission of Belgium to the United Nations in New York.

On September 20, they attended a reception to celebrate a decade of the UN’s Roll Back Malaria Partnership at the Intercontinental Barclay Hotel, New York. (pictures).

To enjoy some family time, together they went for lunch in Williamsburg on September 21, pictures and a movie clip. That evening, Princess Maria-Laura and Prince Amedeo were present at a reception during the general debate at the 66th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. (Pictures)

On September 22, the Princess had a meeting in New York during the UN General Assembly at the UN headquarters, together with outgoing Foreign Minister and Minister of Institutional Reforms, Steven Vanackere. (Pictures)

On September 25 2011, Princess Maria Laura together with Belgian Ambassador to the UN, Jan Grauls, and outgoing Foreign Minister and Minister of Institutional Reforms, Steven Vanackere, assisted in the United Nations General Assembly in New York City. (Pictures)
