Oh look, finally a much needed blue coat. How many does she possess? How does she justify them to herself?

The Duchess looks very lovely and a nice colour and shape too.

How does she justify them to herself? Catherine's clothes are her business. Charles pays for William and Catherine and Harry. Charles approves Catherine's clothing bill, which is only a fraction of the Duchy of Cornwall's expenditure. No big deal.
Sigh...yet another coat dress that doesn't fit right. Her natural waist is about two inches below where the belt is hitting. It just looks poorly tailored the way it fits her.

Charles and Camilla have spent millions of £ on Ray Mill. So funny the usual suspects bang on about clothes while purposely ignoring the other expenditures of the Duchy of Cornwall.

Investing in a house, increasing value for years and generations vs a 50th coat dress she may never wear again? Sorry there is no comparison.![]()

The Queen's style has evolved both fashion and age wise throughout her life. Having matching coats and dresses and sticking with a white or a pale palette in gala wear, all without waist's is perfectly acceptable at 90!I do wonder at what age she will tire of the whole elevated waist look? Because I am bored.Maybe never, the Queen certainly has a silhouette she sticks to like glue.

Catherine, on the other hand, seems to push toward a higher waistline, above the natural waist but below an empire line. When she adds a belt it just looks odd, although it does give the illusion that her legs are even longer.
The most puzzling thing is her hair. She is obviously immensely proud of it and grows it increasingly long and voluminous. That is not a criticism just a fact. The problem to me is what she does with it when on royal engagements and on this occasion all those curls and waves just don't do any favours for her ensemble in much the same way as it does with many of her ensembles. However, the move toward using children's hair grips is going way too far. It looks like she raided her daughter's hair ornaments.
Beautiful coat which fits just perfectly. I like the elevated waist, it gives a slight twist. However, the coat isn't that unusual to really justify another blue coat, I agree. Or maybe not..do you have images for the 18 blue coats Gomnatt, so we could judge?
