Hurrah For The Tre Kronor! Swedish Royals Welcome Ice Hockey Champions To Palace

Members of the Swedish Royal Family welcomed the Tre Kronor, Sweden’s men’s ice hockey team, to the Royal Palace in Stockholm on Monday to celebrate their success at the 2017 IIHF World Championship.

Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar (aptly dressed in a Tre Kronor jersey) were centre stage as the players filed into the Palace, championship trophy in hand. Prince Oscar in particular was quite taken by the silverware, though it was over half his size! Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel and Prince Carl Philip were also in attendance.

This is the tenth time the Tre Kronor have won the IIHF World Championship. The team defeated Canada 2-1 in Sunday’s final.
