King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia Attend National Candlelight Service
The King and Queen of Sweden were present on Monday April 17 for the National Candlelight Service at the Stockholm Cathedral, offered in memory of the victims of the April 7 terrorist attack.
Archbishop Antje Jackelén led the service, which was designed to provide hope and positive thoughts for the future. The King and Queen were welcomed by the clergy ahead of the service, during which candles were lit for the four people killed in the attack.
“Goodness is stronger than evil. Love is stronger than hatred. The light is stronger than darkness. The truth is stronger than falsehood,” the Archbishop said.
