Duchess of Cornwall Leads Family At ‘Travels To My Elephant’ Rickshaw Auction
The Duchess of Cornwall was joined by the Prince of Wales and Princess Eugenie of York as well as members of her own family at the auction of rickshaws that will be competing in the ‘Travels To My Elephant’ race in India later this year.
20 brightly coloured rickshaws were auctioned off during the event at Lancaster House. Diane von Furstenberg, Carolina Herrera and Mulberry each designed a rickshaw, as did the sister of the Duchess, Annabel Elliot.
The race is being run by The Elephant Family, the charity founded by Camilla’s late brother Mark Shand to help prevent the extinction of the Asian Elephant. Princess Eugenie will participate in the race with her sister Princess Beatrice.Filed under The United Kingdom
