Prince Nayef named Second Deputy PM

Saudi Arabia’s Interior Minster Prince Nayef has been appointed as second Deputy Prime Minister, third in the political hierarchy after King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and his brother and Defence Minister Prince Sultan.

Prince Sultan was then named first Deputy Prime Minister. King Abdullah, who is in his mid-eighties, is also the Prime Minister.

Prince Nayef has been elevated to the post which has been open since the death of death of King Fahd.
