Princess Haya attends Arab Health 2011 Congress & Exhibition
Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai gave a speech in front of healthcare leaders who gather at the Arab Health Exhibition and Congress which is being held in Dubai.
In her speech, Princess Haya said, “Like all developing countries, the Middle East too is facing a brain drain. We need to devise effective strategies to retain talent.” The Princess went on talking about private and public sectors healthcare, that “a whole range of factors – both public and private – must work in harmony and focus on prevention far more than we do today. The key is promoting healthy lifestyles – raising the level of physical activity, improving the quality of diets, reducing tobacco and other harmful substances and following simple public safety measures.”
After her keynote speech, Princess Haya toured the Arab Health exhibition stands as well as those belonging to the UAE Ministry of Health and various local health stands. Princess Haya was accompanied by HE Dr. Hanif Hassan, Minister of Health and other dignitaries.
