On Sunday October 24th, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander, Crown Princess Máxima and their three daughters Princesses Catharina-Amalia, Alexia and Ariane, attended the finals of the Gymnastics World Championships in the indoor sports arena of ‘Ahoy’ in Rotterdam.

The Royal Family was there to watching and supporting the performance of the Dutch gymnast Epke Zonderland. With a total of 16,033 points, Zonderland won the silver medal. The disappointment of Zonderland and the Oranje supporters was great, as it was the second year in a row that he just missed the gold. The first place went to the Chinese gymnast Zang. The other Dutch participant, Jeffrey Wammes, ended on the 8th place, with 15,750 points.
