State Visit from the Netherlands – Day 2 and 3

The second day of Queen Beatrix’ State Visit to Norway began with a visit to the Oslo Bors securities exchange, where Her Majesty, who was joined by King Harald and Queen Sonja, attended a seminar with the title “Labour Participation and Gender”. Later they visited the Bjornholt Middle and Upper Secondary School.

At lunch time Queen Beatrix, the Norwegian Royal couple and the Crown Princely couple attended an official luncheon at Akershus Palace which was hosted by the Norwegian Government. Queen Beatrix also met with members of the Dutch community in Norway at the Oslo City Hall later the day.

In the evening the King and Queen, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess, Princess Märtha Louise and Mr Ari Behn, Princess Astrid Mrs Ferner and Queen Beatrix were guests at a cultural event in the Opera House in Oslo.

During the third day of the Visit Queen Beatrix, King Harald and Queen Sonja visited the city of Bergen where they had a walk through the Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf , attended a conference on sustainable fisheries and a concert at Troldhaugen.
