Or the outfits could be altered.
I wouldn't be surprised. The Crown Princess has one of the most envied wardrobes!

Mary does indeed have a great wardrobe. But the idea of children...particularly a ten year old...wearing her 40 something year old mother's recycled clothing just doesn't sit well with me.:ermm:

This is not a financially strapped family forced to scrape by on a budget. If the Crown Princess can afford beautiful new clothing, her young daughters should be entitled to the same.

I may be wrong but it looks like Amalia is wearing her mother's Louboutin shoes

I thought the same! it is a photo out there of the back of the heels and they loo very damage

Regarding the danish family! It is not my cup of tea Isabella looks, I would had prefer a dress! The little one she looks cute but I do not get if it is clothing from Mary, I am sure they can afford new clothing for the girls!

In a (German) video I have seen they claim that both girls recycled outfits of their mother, Isabella a pantsuit which Mary wore in May 2019, and Josephine a skirt which Mary wore in August 2017 (I actually doubt that, Mary is slim but not as slim as a 10-year-old. If it is indeed the same skirt it must have been heavily remodeled. But perhaps it's just a similar fabric.)
Ok, now I have seen a Danish video (BB), and there they claim Josefine recycled a skirt of her sister Isabella. This seems more likely to me. In any case the skirt is recycled.

This is what I mean about Christian's vest. This is a really beautiful family picture — otherwise. If you spend the amount of money (which is no object) on a bespoke princely suit for a major public occasion, the vest should not look like THAT when you are seated.

And I don't care how fast he's growing; if the palace doesn't have a tailor who can monitor fittings and use seam allowances and make last-minute alterations (again, for major public occasion), I just don't believe it.

I love Christians look and I dont think it's too tight at all. It's meant to be a bit snug. That's the style I think. The inside of the jacket and the backside of the west coloured in purple is a great touch. Very bold and swagger:D

Other then that Josephine's outfit is my favorite. Love her jacket and it goes so well with the skirt.

Isabella's outfit I didnt like. Mary's was alright but a bit boring.....she usually dresses more interesting.

I dislike Isabella's pants and and Josephine's jacket.

I find Amalia, Alexia, and Ariane's outfits terrible.

Thank you for pointing out Josephine's matching purse with her jacket! How adorable! Christian's jacket is too short, not too small, not quite the same thing. He could be a "long" and not a regular. He's probably outgrown it by now anyway. Isabella's outfit is too big, however. In one video clip she pulls up the pants which have a lot of "give". Fashionable outfit though

IA is wearing the Bunad from her confirmation. And it is a pity that SM stopped wearing the traditional attire like his father.

I agree it's a pity. It would give a more uniformed look especially with Haakon wearing traditional attire. His older brother Marius did it for many years in his teens.

That said. I do like his blue coat.

He is 15 and he may feel Royal or not dressing up for the cameras like that is not cool anymore. I suppose his parents pick their battles as one does with teenagers.

I suppose it's less formal/traditional, but she looks very good with her hair down instead of up like at her confirmation. And on the same line, I was wondering what she had on her legs this time. It looked like pants under her skirt? (Surely not sweatpants, right?) They seem like very thick tights or leg warmers if not...

Jacques is going to be so tall. He is a clone of his mother. I love Gabriella's little dress.?

Princess Gabriella was seen wearing another dress today, probably because of the paint work they did during the event ..;)

I like both of Gabriella's dresses and I love her headband, but poor girl, that mask is too big for her :(

Hmm, their dresses don't seem to fit very well.. I guess that's because they are wearing adult dresses while still having teenage bodies.

Leonor's dress fits well. I don't like Sofia's so much. But, generally speaking, both are OK and appropriate for the occasion.

I loved both dresses, and I loved that Felipe matched his daughter.

I wish I looked that put together at their ages.

I am not impressed by both dresses but I like Sofia's better.
When I first saw Leonor's dress as headshot only, I immediately thought of an ER Nurse's outfit, blue plastic.
The only family member who looks the part is Felipe.

Now I can't unsee it .

I think both are fine, not the best but suit them. I wish Leonor's colour is either softer or deeper.

Did the confirmant get her hair cut?

If she did, she could probably go even shorter very nicely at some point. https://www.gettyimages.de/detail/n...-the-nachrichtenfoto/1320470015?adppopup=true

Edit: The issue with the dresses is perhaps partly that Sofia appears to be wearing a dress more in Leonor's usual style, and vice-versa. On the whole I'd say Leonor benefits slightly more, but people are still thrown off.

Leonor's dress is wonderful and it suits her especially well and blue is her color.
Simple, elegant, refined ... just like an angel or better, just like a princess should dress. No makeup or model poses, with her small heels and her smile
Sofía's dress is very Spanish, very everyday and she is also charming, but the winner today is Leonor. She was perfect. This is how a teenage princess dresses.
They are two angels.:flowers:

:previous:Leonor already cut her hair for the previous event (the submarine one). She cut her hair between the solo event and the submarine event. It seems it grew a little since then (but I do like her with longer hair/but both sisters cut their hairs short every once in a while, as we could see, for example, on their visit to Asturias).

I like Leonor's dress. I don't mind the color. I always loved blue (all shades). I think she has a dress with that same color (she wore it during one of the summer photosessions). Sofia's dress is fine, but nothing memorable.

Lovely sweet ladies but agree the dresses don't fit. Surely they could afford a stylist for the girls.
