It was the beauty of Grace and her poise that made her such a beautiful bride. I was disappointed with Sofia's dress the train was lovely but the dress was boring. Princess Charlene's wedding dress was stunning

Every bride is so different, just like we are in our opinions. Sofia's dress was pretty and you could tell she felt good in it. The lace sleeves and back were very nice, but the front of the skirt was a bit underwelming. All-in-all, I was pleased with what she wore.
The afterparty dress seemed to be pretty, but she should have removed the tiara. Can't say I blame her for not taking if off though. I'd have wanted to sleep in it, I mean she just became a real live princess and recieved a new shiny tiara for a present. What woman alive would have taken it off.

The romantic snow wedding gown of Francesca Baroness Thyssen-Bornemisza (spouse of Archduke Karl of Austria). The unbeatable veil worn by Máxima, for which Valentino had to hire a special hall and a special oldfashioned loom machine to fabricate it. The beautiful embroidered over-coat worn by Doña Philomena de Tornos y Steinhart (spouse of Prince Jean d'Orléans), the rich brocante dress with golden needlework by Countess Caroline von Neipperg for her marriage with Philippe Count van Limburg-Stirum. The most remarkable golden wedding dress worn by Princess Olga of Greece (spouse of Prince Aimone di Savoia-Aosta).
Oh... there were so many wedding dresses "after Grace" which made her one looking like a boring dull twelve-in-a-dozen dress.

I have always loved Lady Sarah Armstrong-Jones' dress. All the other dresses are very lovely with, IMO, that of Serena Stanhope, which I thought was atrocious, just extremely odd.

This lady got a feeling of déjà vu when she saw the wedding dress of Sofia, as it was remarkably similar to the dress she wore as a bride in 1959. The dress had been made as a ball gown the year before, and she added the lace to it for the wedding. Her father-in-law hadn't considered the dress to be fine enough.

It's ok...I think the waist hit her at an odd spot or something with the skirt was off but otherwise very nice/appropriate.

Sofia's white top is lovely, but I am not so keen on the shape of the skirt.

Hmm, it seems that it is a Karen Miller dress, described as:
FROM THE ATELIER
The perfect piece for any event, this black and white full skirted texture jacquard dress features tonal 3D floral embellishment and delicate hand beading.
Model is 5'10 and wears a UK size 10
Unfortunately, they didn't include the waist size and Sofia has one so that doesn't help. But the curiously shaped hem seems to be a bona fide design feature.

The addition of an elegant gently puffed jacket is perfect, but she may like to leave the stiletto shoes behind next year.

ps: I didn't know you could actually get puffer jackets that didn't make you look like a roly poly.

I give Sophia top marks in the group. This is tailored to perfection, summery, ladylike and does not steal the birthday girl's limelight. When has pulled back hair become unfashionable in THIS family? Especially at outdoor events with the outdoor humidity/breeze potential it's a smart move. MHO.

I have to agree with you, I thought Sophia did very well. The entire look was smart, contemporary, yet not seeking attention.

She looks very nice and appropriate. I predict she will out princess them all, like Lillian whose actress background and low birth made her taboo for so long

Totally agree. She looked very nice without stealing the spotlight.

Sofia looked good and she seems to be dressing well and I give her credit but I felt that the black and white was a bit boring, I mean it's summer, why not wear a bit of color.

i liked sofia's dress (i would have liked it best if the top of the dress didn't have those horrid flowers on it!) - she seems to favour quite a lot of british "high street" brands (phase eight, karen millen...).
i did however NOT like the use of that puffa jacket on top of her nice and chic dress - i appreciate it gets cold in the evening, but a puffa jacket is a really informal piece to be paired with an elegant evening dress.
