A Danish Summer Photo Session…In The Rain

The dour weather was not going to stop Denmark’s Queen Margrethe and the Crown Princely Family from stepping through the gates of Gråsten Palace on Sunday to receive the procession of the Gråsten Ringrider Association.

Instead, to keep the rain away, the family brought out their rain coats. For Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary and their children, that meant puffer jackets in blacks and blues. But for Queen Margrethe, it meant her trusty floral raincoat – and the matching hat!

The family accepted numerous bouquets and small gifts from the riders (numbering 300) as they processed past the palace.
