i liked seeing the video of Maxima in colombia with Ricardo Bonilla. i found her extremely pleasant to relate to, she has a quality for putting people at ease (she joked about not being able to work without the coffee they offered her, about being surprised by all the wild flowers growing 'that in netherlands they need to buy', etc). i also note she seems to have somewhat lost her argentinian accent, or perhaps adapted it so that she could chat more easily in spanish to others, specially with the y/ll sound.

The Queen was asked in an interview by the Algemeen Dagblad if she wanted to continue in her present UN role. She responded that things have changed a lot since when she started in 2009 and that she now doubts if she is of added value to the cause. She will make a decision later on and in consultation with her husband, the King.

That's pretty surprising, she did and still does a really good job here and has become a real expert in all related matters. The public image and the attention factor of the position would decrease immensely without her..

Here's another interview video from yesterday:

Queen Máxima has sent a pre-recorded video message for the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI) First Plenary held in Brasilia today, March 15:
