Princess Anne's Fashion and Style Part 1: June 2004 - September 2010

Princess Ann has had always bad taste ,and the last hat she wore was awful

Sometimes Anne turns out well, but not usually, unfortunately. I wondered if she might have picked the hat up at a jumble shop...

I think I'm a lot older than you, Z, and I remember when she was lovely and dressed more fashionably (but that was, like, before 1974). And of course, back in 1974, she didn't have the benefit of a closet whose contents were 30+ years old and that she could still wear.

I think that The Princess Royal is a marvellous Lady and I met her once and I am still impressed. But the fashionstyle is bad. I am thinking now and verifying nice clothes on her: the blue outfit worn over and over again for milestones: Queen Mother's 100th birthday service, Charles and Camilla wedding, Queen's 80th birthday service. I think that suits her well and she has some pale pink dresses and simply white dresses (e.g. the one she wore for a Chelsea Flower show in 2006 I think). But the red coats, blue heavy patterned coats are really to be abandoned.
About her hats, the white hat for the 2003 50th anniversary Coronation service is nice (dress as well), and the hat for the Diamond wedding anniversary. But I really distaste the hat for Easter sunday, the pillbox hat worn for the first time in 1983 for the presentation of Standards to the Household Cavalry and yes again in 2006 for Sunday Mattins on 21 April 2006.

at the Royal Yachting Association Volvo Youth National Championships
and Trials, 16 April 2009.
Princess Anne, who is President of the Royal Yachting Association, was
welcomed by over 200 young sailors at the Championships, which are
an important racing event on the British Youth sailing calendar.

Yesterday, April 24, Princess Anne attended the annual
"Save the Children" charity lunch in Cardiff, saying:

“Save the Children is still a pioneering and progressive organisation
– we are still finding holes in services and a means of filling them
and we have to keep doing that even in times of difficult economic
conditions”.

April 27, 2009 and handed out some awards as well, the following

British Princess Anne, Princess Royal is welcomed by pupils of the
British School at Catterick Barracks in Bielefeld, Germany, 30 April
2009. In her function as honourary colonel of the Royal Logistic
Corps, the Princess Royal paid a short visit to Bielefeld.

20 May 2009. The studios are set in the grounds of Littleton Park
Manor, a 17th century manor house. During the visit she was shown
drawings for director Ridley Scott’s as yet untitled Robin Hood
adventure film .

The furry hat at Braemar makes her face look fat IMO, which I know she isn't. Not a very flattering choice. And the Queen's outfit was a rather odd color combination too, the dull green doesn't go at all with the vibrancy of the yellow.

That are the Teck-chops. I liked the hat, I'd wish Anne would choose another hairstyle... But I don't think that will ever happen.

Both The Queen and The Princess Royal were very badly dressed. As I read here, the combination of the green/khaki and the yellow is bad; but Anne is again the top of making a bad choice. The brown with the boots and the block-patterned jacket is such an old fashion. I can not imagine that it was that cold in Scotland on Saturday that a winter fut hat was chosen to be worn.

To be honest I cannot imagine when Anne has been top styled in the last years. Its Anne, she's a bit eccentric in her dressing. I mean, her hairdo per se isn't pretty, is it? On youtube there are videos in which she is compared with Elvis because of it I think, she just doesn't care about fashion... Its a pity because she still has a great physique, beautiful legs etc. She could look so much better IMO.
