Mission accomplished indeed! I love that "fashion" at that level does not date so her dress is just as on trend in 2014 as it was in 2004!

That's my kind of style and fashion statement.

that's an interesting observation. it's true that this dress didn't age in 10 years, however, i doubt some other of her frocks from her early years (or of any other princess) would still be really considered as fashionable as of today.

for example, i doubt these would be used by mary again, they would look rather dated for today's fashion:

Last night, Mary looked lovely in a summery and very pretty dress when she and Frederik participated in a dinner in the House of Industry, Copenhagen. Such a beautiful print IMO!

I thought she looked great in the 2004 lace dress. Credit to the "classic" dress that still looks contemporary after 10 years. Credit also to Mary to be able to reuse a dress that she could use before she had her 4 children
