February 5th, 2018 marked the 200th anniversary of Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte took the Swedish throne as Carl XIV Johan (and the Norwegian throne as Carl III Johan). Princess Christina Awarded First Sophiahemmet University Honorary Doctorate

During the graduation ceremony of the Sophiahemmet at the Stockholm City Hall on Thursday, Princess Christina, Mrs Magnuson was awarded the Sophiahemmet University’s first honorary doctorate. She received the honour from the University’s principal, Johanna Adami, and the Sophiahemmet chairman, Lars Kihlström Burenstam Linder, in recognition for her long-standing commitment and dedication to the Sophiahemmet. Te Deum and Congratulations For Prince Oscar

The birth of prince Oscar has lead to a stream of congratulations for his parents and his big sister. In the afternoon there was a gun salute of 21 canon shots in Stockholm. Princess Christina to be a Grandmother

Princess Christina and her husband, Tord Magnuson, are set to become grandparents later this year. The couple’s youngest son, Victor, is expecting his first child with girlfriend Frida Bergström. Princess Christina’s Jewellery Stolen from Palace Apartment

Princess Christina has been the victim of theft recently, as a number of her jewels were stolen from her apartment at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. The jewels were stolen by a 19-year-old friend of the Princess’s husband, Mr Tord Magnuson, who was being mentored by Magnuson.
