The Pahlavis Gather For Persian New Year

Empress Farah Pahlavi of Iran hosted a small celebration to mark the Persian New Year, Nowrouz, yesterday at her home in Washington, D.C. Prince Reza, his wife Yasmine and their daughters Noor, Iman and Farah, Princess Farahnaz and Raha Didevar and her daughter with the late Prince Alireza, Iryana, were all present for the celebration.

The Pahlavi Family has celebrated the Nowouz, the New Persian Year, in the United States. The former Empress of Iran, Farah Pahlavi, has been accompanied by her eldest son, Prince Reza, her daughter, Princess Farahnaz, her daughter-in-law, Princess Yasmine, and her granddaughters, Princess Iman, Princess Farah and Princess Iryana Leila. Reza Pahlavi gives interview to Telegraph

Last week Prince Reza Pahlavi, Iran’s former Crown Prince, gave an interview to British newspaper The Daily Telegraph. Reza Pahlavi backed a campaign of “civil disobedience and non-violence” to change the Iran’s government. He called on Western support and said to the journalist, Simon Heffer, that “he can’t sit and say nothing as Iran suffers.” To read the full interview click here.
