Kensington Palace today announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry have signed on to a new campaign, Heads Together, to end the stigma around mental health.

The campaign will be working with seven mental health charities to help “change the national conversation” on mental health. Heads Together is also going to be the 2017 London Marathon Charity of the Year (the reason the announcement took place today, on the day of the London Marathon).

“They are passionate about tackling the stigma surrounding the issue. Too often, they have seen that people feel afraid to admit that they are struggling with their mental health. This fear of prejudice and judgment stops people from getting help and can destroy families and end lives,” a spokesperson said.

A two-minute video was released along with the announcement, showing the three royals in Kensington Gardens with runners who will be taking part in the 2017 London Marathon on behalf of the seven charities.
