Former King’s Health Stable But Worrying
A Report regarding the health of former King Michael I of Romania has been issued on the royal family’s official website today.
Mihai I, seen here back in January with his eldest daughter and Custodian of the Crown, Crown Princess Margarita, has spend the last five days in a Swiss hospital being treated for cancer. The report states that the king’s condition is stable but that he is severely weak.

With Queen Anne herself being treated for age-related health problems too, Crown Princess Margarita and her husband, Prince Radu, have been staying in Switzerland where the former king and queen live, so that they can visit them both every day.
The king and queen’s other daughters are planning to travel to Switzerland over the next few days and have been in daily contact with the family.
The report ended with a word of thanks for all the messages and words of encouragement that people have sent to the royal family and also acknowledged “the decency and respect with which the mass media has covered this sad and worrying event”.
