I like Princess Anne's hat that she wore for Princess Margaret's memorial service. But I have a question.. Why don't Members of the Royal Family wear veils to funerals any more? I know the Queen wore a mourning veil when her father died. Has the pratice died out?

In the UK, funeral veils have almost died out. Some older women may wear still them, but they aren't popular.

I know. It really says something about Anne's physical fitness that she can still fit into outfits from three decades ago.

Kwanfan, on post # 14: I don't like her just-stepped-out-of-the-Mayflower Boat-dress. The one that you posted after that, # 15, is better. Princess Anne has an extraordinary talent to keep her figure through the years.
But Princess Diana next to her gets the eye attention because of her uncomfortable pose. Her mind is somehwre else wandering away from the company of her sister in law.

post 17 is the sharpest cut I've ever seen Princess Anne in. Perfect color, good vertical neck line and a figure people would kill for.

Great job so far kwanfan! I think it also says something about Princess Anne's choice of clothing that doesn't seem too out of date when she recycles an outfit a few decades later. Some outfits are totally dated, but others not so much, such as the lilac jacket she wore at Commonwealth Day, her arrival in Malaysia, Dutch state visit, memorial service for Lord Mountbatten, et. al.
