I think he looked fine. I only think the jacket pulled a bit, but maybe it's only the illusion on his movements. It's actually quite a good mix of official and casual look!

(Even worse if the tie is drooping.) For those who have special interest in belt-buckles that's of course fascinating but I find that it looks sloppy.

Yes. Far too tight on the thighs that make the pants rise up and appear too short.
Those shoes
Frederik straight from the hot countries of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, where he looked close to perfection in his lovely suits and ties, and now on to Greenland.
Keeping warm with layers. I like his checkered shirt.

and the stylish touch of wearing a nice scarf underneath to keep warm

Modern and great for his events at the Arctic Winter Games, of which he is patron of
and of course, always with that million-dollar smile

Good grief, it looks like Haakon takes the lead in the worst dressed men's category! The too small coat, the slipper shoes with what looks like goloshes and the mismatched trousers and, is that water in the basement just to finish the "look"?

I'm not really sure what to say about the whole look. The jacket is too short, the trousers are unpressed and the dour colours seem unprofessional to me.
I don't mind Haakon going more casual in his style if he wants to, one can look clean-cut and smart in a pair of jeans and a nice crisp shirt.
Anyway, here's a couple of pictures showing Haakon perfectly dressed and looking his usual cool self:

Whoah, I finally see a change in William's trousers! Something new at last! I guess I still have to get used to this novelty and I cannot pass my judgement on th new pants at the moment!

At last William has a go at "dressy casual". White dress shirt, blue tie, black blazer or is it a suit jacket, khaki trousers and brown (looks like) suede shoes. It's a strange amalgam of formal top half and casual bottom. I have to admit, I'm not feeling the love here!

Khaki trousers should be a get-go look for many men; still, I find them odd on William.

This is not an unusual look at all in the UK. The only difference is that ties are used a lot less now than previously.

And William is wearing the suit at today's visit to XLT.

Just in case you thought that this thread was only a "Worst Case Royal Men" thread, I thought I'd lighten the tone.
I had taken it for granted that Prince Daniel had totally succumbed to the Uniform Royal Blue, single-breasted, Straightjacket Suit Syndrome but, when I looked closer, I discovered Victoria's beloved Daniel is a wee bit of a royal rebel.
Now these are casual looks I wouldn't mind seeing again:
http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/bg/P...Z0GXWXY3El.jpg
https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/i...rCiGn2WhIEIhoo
And not all blues are "Royal Men's Suit Blue".
https://www.google.co.nz/url?sa=i&rc...57833334219515
And here I found a grey suit which actually isn't a really great colour on him but at least it isn't blue:
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-u8svQsx6qy...Victoria-7.jpg
And then a black suit which looks sharp, if a little severe/funereal:

Then he snuck in a Uniform Royal Blue double-breasted suit:
https://www.google.co.nz/url?sa=i&rc...57833334219515
And then he snuck in a blue and grey pinstriped double-breasted suit:
http://www.marcussamuelsson.com/wp-c...nce-Daniel.jpg
And then I found a photo of him brown tweed double breasted suit though I'm not fussed on the dark blue tie he's wearing and really don't think he's a 'tweed' kind of guy:
https://www.google.co.nz/url?sa=i&rc...57833334219515
And then a debonair light grey tweed or marled double-breasted suit that sort of surprised me:
https://www.google.co.nz/url?sa=i&rc...57835689676519
And here a photo of a pretty cool looking family!
