Both outfits are a miss for me.
The black and white jacket seems a bit too old for her and not her style.
The cape/coat worn on January 28 is very pretty but somehow the overall looks is a bit messy.

some of Mary's worst outfits were worn at the fashion show, eg the mechanic overall look

imo she looks best in classic regal-looking outfits.

Yes, but maybe she just doesn't feel like dressing 'classic and regal' to private outings like these.
Both good looking outfits.

I think you are right. The fashion action is on the catwalk not on her.

And here I think especially the second outfit with the black/white checkered blazer and black pants are super classic, elegant and beautiful

Can't decide if I like or not the coat on the first outing, I feel strange about it. Think I like it but not in an outfit like this. I would have matched it with pants in a different colour and not that blouse either.

Those shoes! They are back in Sacks in many colors and still odd looking. Makes one's foot look weird. Please don't let then catch on like those platform soles of three years ago.

The second outfit is safe and simple. There is something about that jacket that I always loved.
