Agree 100%. They are all a delight to watch. Very natural. Loved the minion moment!

Not necessarily. In terms of birth order, the 4th born supposedly repeats the 1st born dynamic. I can vouch for that. She will be a trailblazer.

The year is coming to an end and 2015 has been another busy year for Frederik and Mary with many official duties. We have also seen much to Christian, Bella, Vincent and Josephine. Not least, when the Crown Prince family's spend their summer at Gråsten :)
BB has collected a gallery of F&M and children in 2015:
SE BILLEDERNE: Kronprinsfamiliens år i glimt] | BILLED-BLADET
(If you consider how many events our Crown Prince Couple have during a year, I think the gallery could have included some more pictures from all those, though.)

 Thank you, Polyesco.
Yes, since the news of the confidential planning of this business-offensive to Saudi Arabia emerged today, there has been a lot of criticism!
So much actually that several businesses and organizations wishing to take part seems to have pulled or are considering pulling out.
The reason is Saudi Arabia less than impressive track record in regards to human right, women's rights, treatment of immigrant workers, Saudi Arabias reluctance to accept Syrian refugees not to mention that DK and Saudi Arabia more or less secretly support different sides in Irag and Syria.
Saudia Arabia is also becoming less interesting since the trade embargo against Iran is being lifted, so Iran is now a most attractive market!
So the government, especially the Foreign Ministry (which is the main ministry behind this) and the main organizations behind Danish commerce is getting quite a lot of heat today. With M&F caught in the middle of it.
The DRF can hardly be blamed. It's not like M&F one day suddenly decide: "Let's go to Saudi Arabia in March and promote Danish commerce and perhaps some ministers or businessmen will come along".
It will be interesting to see if the trip will be cancelled altogether.

I agree. Its not up to Frederik and Mary, or the DRF, but the Foreign ministry to decide. will be interesting
It looks like the Foreign Minister has responded, and looks like he wants the trip with the royal couple to go forward
Minister: Jeg sørger for kritisk dialog med Saudi-Arabien - Politik
"- Royal Couple have their program, and I have mine, so I can easily take the critical dialogue, despite the fact that the royal couple is.
- It is important for the Danish business community that we take on such trips - including Saudi Arabia - just to create dialogue.
To the question of whether Kristian Jensen still intend to go despite the massive criticism is the answer:
- This visit is beneficial for business and therefore we still have interest in taking off, minister says to Ritzau."
S: Kongeligt besøg til Saudi-Arabien bremser for kritisk dialog - Indland
I guess F&M will just have to make the most of it and promote Danish Business if the trip goes forward.
I think the Spanish King and Queen were planning a trip in February as well that was recently cancelled i think

It was cancelled due to the political situation in Spain (they are trying to from a government) but it attracted the same type of critisism.
In the end its all about money, who cares about human rights or a country that practises sharia law or finances terrorism.

Thanks Eya,
Here a picture from Mary and Frederik arriving:

Isn't they a handsome couple
Crown Prince Frederik in his Navy uniform and Mary in her breathtakingly beautiful gown (I have much looked forward to see that purple gown again)
I wish our Crown Prince Couple and our Queen a fun evening. It's never boring to party with the Navy/sailors... (-;

 Thanks Eya.
It was interesting to hear QMII's yacht-captain (*) talk about what goes on at such a gala dinner.
It's for navy commodores and up, so Frederik wasn't the highest ranking present, military speaking.
It's a fairly informal dinner even though they are dressed in the finest mess-uniforms. There is a cheer for the navy and then coffee is served with cozy chatting. No formal speeches as such.
QMII, and as such M&F, will have met the officers many times before as they work their way up the ranks and since she has been reigning for 40 years, chances are that she met the officers present for the first time when they graduated as young lieutenants from the naval academy and went to their first audience with their Majesty, who is also their commander-in-chief.
(*) Being the yacht-captain is the highest and most prestigious command you can hold as a captain in the Danish navy. It's usually also the last command before retiring.
As a yacht-captain he is the Majesty's personal captain and outranks any other captain. He is also her first adjutant, outranking even the chief of the staff of adjutants.
A yacht-captain holds his command for a number of years before retiring and as he usually dines with the DRF when aboard Dannebrog he also gets to know them pretty well.

The Crown Prince Couple are active and busy members of the DRF and that means they (like the rest of us) also has work to do on their birthdays.
BB today has an article telling us Frederik has an official event at Copenhagen City Hall on next Friday, February 5, at Mary's 44 birthday. Here the Danish flag bearer to the Olympic Games 2016 will be revealed.
The event is not written in the official royal calender yet... Maybe it will be added on tomorrow when it's Monday.
The event is from 12.30 to 14.30 so plenty of time for Frederik to celebrate his Crown Princess in the morning and evening, though
http://www.billedbladet.dk/kongelige...ys-foedselsdag
The coming week will be really busy for Frederik and Mary. (Also for us here at TRF )
They have events every day during the week and some days more events on a day.

Busy days ahead. Hopefully it is placed on his calendar , but as we know Frederik and Mary often have meetings and events that are not included on their agendas.

A new thread for the Saudi Arabia and Qatar visit has been created: http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums...6-a-40223.html
Depending the program, the thread may eventually be moved to the Gulf States forum if the couple meet with members of the royal families.

This is IMO one of Frederik's and Mary's very biggest strengths:
Their pride and their support for each other.
As you may know Crown Princess Mary and Denmark will be host for the world's largest women's conference 'Women Deliver' in Copenhagen next week. Crown Princess Mary has been with from the very early beginning... She is deeply involved. She is host and patron. And it's perhaps one of her biggest tasks!
I am therefore very delighthed (but not at all surprised) to see in the DRF royal calendar that Frederik will accompany Mary when she officially opens 'The Women Deliver' conference on Monday

ADDED:
I see also Princess Benedikte participates in the opening of the Women Deliver conference.

wonderful. Its no surprise at all that Frederik is a huge support for Mary and as we have seen, very proud of her. (as well as Mary being a huge support for Frederik)
Cant wait for the conference. Mary has worked a lot on this.
Frederik will also have an event on his own in connection with the conference on the 18th

I agree. They are the real-deal, and a pleasure to watch.
There are only a handful of royals where I feel I am observing a genuine family, loving each other and living real lives. Mary and Frederik and their children are one such. Guilliame and Stephanie of Luxembourg is another, and the entire Swedish Royal family. None other come to mind, except perhaps Edward and Sophie Wessex in England.
I believe that likely most royal couples start out loving each other but for some reason they don't hold up well to the camera's scrutiny. The two stand-outs for me are the Swedish Royal Family and Mary and Frederik of Denmark.
