Yeah hard to imagine the BRF getting away with that in London etc....the media would mob them.
Nice that the DRF are able to live a more 'normal' life.

Yes it is my impression as well, and we also hear Frederik and Mary tell it often in interviews how grateful they are for being able to move so easily and anonymously in the streets. Also every time they deliver and pick up their children from kindergarten and school on bikes.

upcoming event for Frederik and Mary
19 July 2015, 11:30 am
The Crown Prince Couple receives Gråsten Ring Riders Association parade at Gråsten Palace.
Kronprinsparret modtager Gråsten Ringriderforenings optog kl. 11.30 - Kongehuset
I read other articles that the kids will be there. We'll see on Sunday.
"When the riders ride past Gråsten Palace will be able to greet Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary and their children.
Otherwise, it is customary that the riders greet Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik, while the royal couple's official visit to Greenland"

Good, then we can expect some pics tomorrow.
It's also good practice for M&F to be at the receiving end of such little traditions for when they take over. - And it means a lot to the locals!
Ringridning is to be translated literally: Ring-riding. It's basically lancer practice for civilians. It only takes place in Southern Jutland and it's an old tradition.
Basically people ride (or bicycle) at considerable speed towards a stand where a ring is suspended. The point being to put the tip of the (short) lance through the ring. We are talking about a ring with an inner diameter of about an inch, so it's difficult!
Here is a video. The little girl is pretty sweet, eh?
It will be something like this M&F and children will see tomorrow:
Some of the bands look distinctly British to me.

Today, The Crown Prince Family receives Gråsten Ring Riders Association parade at Gråsten Palace:
http://kongehuset.dk...optog-i-grasten
"The Crown Prince Couple will receive a procession with about 300 riders as they pass Gråsten Castle.
Gråsten Ringridning takes place every year on the third weekend in July and is a celebration that lasts for
several days with events throughout the town. After the procession rides through the town, the riders arrive to the town's ring riding space, where they compete in the traditional ring jousting competition."
I hope little Josephine is ready with her her arm in plaster cast. Or maybe she will stay home today, we will see

That's good news. So lots of nice pics coming up.
There are several thousand deer around Eremitageslottet for Vincent to yell at and Josephine, well, she can now see other riders are equally capable of falling off horses.
I wonder if we will see perhaps Bella riding among the children one day, who IIRC precede the adults riders. - But it happens that children fall of their horses and end up in the water as well. (Splash)

Im sure the kids will have a wonderful time.
I think Frederik rode with them one year no? I remember him in that red coat but I cant find the pictures.
It would be neat if Christian and Isabella ride one year

Again some busy weeks ahead for F&M.
There will be enough to post about in the threads. In the next 14 days there will be only 1 day without official events.
I found this overview (In Danish though)

Dear members, here are a absolutely wonderful HUGE gallery from today
Bernard Rübsamen
These are, I think, among the best pictures I have ever seen of F&M and children! But with F&M's always cheerful, happy, loving and expressive children and family a photographer just has to keep clicking!
The pictures are absolutely wonderful and I even can't pick out 20 favourites.
Enjoy!!!

You can almost see the anticipation in the children's eyes. We know they loooove all things about horses.
Christian has as the caring older brother of cause left the front seats of the carriage to Bella, Vincent and Josephine (;
ADDED:
40.000-60.000 people attends todays Hubertus Day.

Muhler, thank you for using the image of a Mountie, but the Splash context is not appropriate as a Mountie will NEVER fall off his or her horse. I attach a link for your viewing pleasure of the RCMP musical ride, whose military traditions and precisions I am sure you will appreciate

It sure looks like Vincent in yelling at the horses.
Several fell off their horses today and into the water - that's always a crowd-pleaser, but judging from this pic, Bella at least felt sorry for the riders: BILLEDER 40.000 tilskuere fulgte årets Hubertusjagt | Nyheder | DR
Alas Gerry, we don't have a rodeo-smiley here at TRF.
So a Mountie had to stand in, but they look good in the video you posted.

Great gallery, beautiful happy family, the children grown so fast and are so adorable. I love that we actually get to see normal interaction between the children and we see they have a very happy childhood with loving parents.

Isabella is a caring little girl she sees the riders falling and perhaps thinks they may get hurt.

Yes, and Josephine knows how it is to fall of a horse and hurt yourself and that shows in her face.
I much prefer such pictures where we see the children just being lively children, rather than posed shots.

Terrific pictures from today – but any event with the Crown Prince family is a guarantee for terrific pictures. I thought Isabella's reactions were very lovely, she looked genuinely worried several times.
This picture is too lovely for words
And another picture of the fabulous six from TV2: http://drupal-images.tv2.dk/sites/im...ngefamilie.jpg

Terrific pictures! I love Mary's style of late. It fits her age and at the same time puts style and quality first. Even for this laidback event her hair and make up are perfectly done. It makes me wonder if her style team is living at her home
