Yesterday, October 4, Prince Albert visited the East Indiaman Gotheborg in the port of Monaco. "The ship brought a work of art in the form of an elephant that the prince received from The Perfect World Foundation when he visited Gothenburg in May":

Historic welcome when Prince Albert of Monaco receives the East Indiaman Götheborg and an elephant with a salute
On arrival in Monaco, a historic salute was fired from the Royal Palace in Monaco as the palace had never before responded to a salute from a ship. The last time the palace fired a salute was when Prince Albert's children were born.
Prince Albert visited Gothenburg on 5 May to receive an honorary award from The Perfect World Foundation during a gala. During the visit, attention was drawn to the Prince's commitment and work in protecting the world's oceans. In addition to the honorary award itself, Prince Albert also received a gift from the organization – a 2.4 meter high work of art in the shape of an elephant. The elephant, named "Oceans of Hope", is painted by the artist Kattis Palmnäs, and is designed with inspiration from animals that depend on our oceans.
